The Zen Hussies

Established in 2001, The Zen Hussies purvey high energy original songs both in concert and on record with their own inimitable swagger. These brass-heavy boppers draw on a wide range of jazz, blues and alternative musical influences. Described by Festival Eye magazine 2008 as ‘The Sonic Definition of Happiness’.

BartouneBartoune

The trio Bartoune are seasoned players in the European  Gypsy Jazz and Swing traditions, delivering deft interpretations of familiar standards as well as their own original compositions with verve and eloquence.

The Hot Potato SyncopatorsHot Potato Syncopators

The ‘Hot Pots’ formed in 2004 as a slapstick vaudeville jazz trio. Their live performances guarantee much hilarity – their infectious musical and visual humour transcends boundaries of language and translates equally well to their recorded material.

Harry HornseyHarry Hornsey

This young gentleman is arguably one of the UKs most skilled performers and interpreters of the Ragtime and Acoustic Blues guitar traditions – no small boast, but this charismatic fellow has studied under Stefan Grossman and is emerging as a true master of the tradition in his own right.

Bert Miller & the Animal FolkBert Miller & the Animal Folk

Their songs are by turn eccentrically happy and darkly funny with moments of great warmth and affection that wholly expose bert’s unadulterated love for animals.

Jules Landau

Familiar to you perhaps under the guise of Jonah Flatfoot as the effervescent front-man, lyricist, rhythm guitarist, clarinet and blues harp player with The Zen Hussies. Jules also writes and performs his songs and poetry as a solo act, drawing on a wide range of blues, folk, pop, punk and swing jazz influences.
